Anti-wrinkle injections like Botox address many concerns such as frown lines, forehead lines, crow’s feet and more. This is dependent on the individual as every person metabolizes the substance differently. Generally, the treatment will last 3-6 months minimum.
Injection needles are very thin and most patients don’t feel any pain or discomfort during treatment. The actual treatment time is fairly short and you will see a difference right away. The skin may be swollen or red for a few days after the injection but you can expect to see full results within a couple of weeks as the filler settles.
Redness and swelling may occur immediately post procedure and will resolve within a few hours. Bruising may also occur which can take up to 5-7 days to disappear.
There are no pre-treatment requirements. However, post treatment recommendations include the following: Avoid strenuous exercise for at least 24 hours post treatment. Do no massage or rub treated area for 24 hours post treatment. Avoid lying face down for 4 hours post treatment. You may experience general cold and flu symptoms such as a mild headache post anti-wrinkle treatment – if this occurs, Tylenol may be taken for relief.
